You could more accurately call it Sales "Straining" rather than Sales Training! Standing for hours every day on concrete floors is horrible for your back. The vertebral segments in the lower back (the lumbar area) take a terrible "pounding" as the day wears on. The ache in your lower back area is a warning that bad things are happening. The wear and tear that ensues with sales activity can lead to joint problems, muscle pain, disc disorders and even arthritis. Advil does little more than "cover up" symptoms for brief periods. So what... should you quit sales? Not necessarily. A visit to a Chiropractor can allow joints in the spine to move freely causing muscles to be more relaxed and supple. When joints are properly articulating, the wear and tear is minimized and pain and stiffness abates. It is extremely unlikely that arthritis (or any other serious back condition) will develop if Chiropractic treatment is implemented. So, sales are okay IF YOU TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Otherwise, you may be better off (in the long term) getting a desk job. Call the clinic (703-494-4860) for a No Charge Consultation/Examination (including all treatment and x-rays). It is probable that you can sell a lot better when your back is in a better mood! Dr. White
