This is an incredibly simple recipe that tastes like you really knew what you were doing. (Women, please don't read this next sentence.) They say that the way to a man's heart is through the stomach, I believe it works in the other direction also... if you are male, this is a way to impress the socks off your counterpart.
Here goes:
1/2 cup butter or margarine.
1 cup granulatd sugar (the stuff you put on your cereal).
1 cup light corn syrup (not the same as pancake syrup).
3 eggs - beaten.
1 cup whole pecans (one bag).
1 9" unbaked pie shell (in the frozen food section).
In saucepan, melt butter.
Mix in sugar and corn syrup until sugar dissolves (guys, be patient...it will happen).
Stir in eggs. Mix well.
Stir in pecans.
Pour hot mixture into the pie shell and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
Please let me know how you do. If you screw this one up, there is little hope for your culinary future.
